Miho has returned to her husband’s family home in the countryside. This year marked the first Obon memorial service for her mother-in-law at the family home. Seeing her father-in-law for the first time in a while, he looked a little tired and seemed faintly lonely. However, he put on a brave face for his son and daughter-in-law, acting strong as a man. Miho’s heart was deeply moved by her father-in-law’s demeanor—a masculinity different from her city-dwelling husband’s, and the occasional glimpses of loneliness he showed. One day, One day, her husband suggested setting off fireworks to cheer everyone up. Seeing her father-in-law wearing his late wife’s yukata while setting off fireworks, Miho couldn’t help but see a clear overlap with the image of his late wife. Before he knew it, he was shedding tears and clinging to Miho. Overcome by unstoppable emotions, her father-in-law gave in to his desires and had sex with Miho.
