It’s the first anniversary of her husband’s death. She meets her stepson, who is the same age as her, for the first time in a long while. Although Kenichi hides it, Suzu has noticed that he is a fan of the national idol “Suzu Harumiya”—who happens to be the same age as his stepmother. Suzume tries to fulfill her role as a mother for the sake of her late husband, Shuji, but she finds herself drawn to her stepson, Kenichi.
