Movie Information:
Takashi and Miki have been together since their student days and eventually got married. Their “mutual friend,” Yui—who is the same age as them—is still single and unmarried, and was a working woman aggressively building her career in the publishing industry. She would occasionally stop by the couple’s home on her way home from work, and they’d have a drink together—that was the nature of their friendship. Takashi and Yui both described their relationship as “a comfortable friendship where we don’t have to worry about each other’s feelings,” and they interacted that way on a daily basis.
