Movie Information:
Lili, the young lady of the upper-class Nanatsumori family, and Takuto, a footman who has served the Nanatsumori family since childhood. Having known each other since childhood, Riri and Takuto harbor deep feelings for one another, but due to their difference in social standing, they’ve kept those feelings hidden in their hearts. Then one day, Atsushi, the eldest son of the Nanatsumori family, receives a draft notice. His father, Tokuji—who is also an officer—doesn’t want to send his eldest son into a losing battle, so he devises a plan: he decides to welcome Takuto into the Nanatsumori family as Riri’s husband and send him off to war as the second son. Feeling indebted to the Nanatsumori family and knowing there was no turning back, Takuto accepted the arrangement. “I’ll let you two spend just one day together as husband and wife.” With only a single day to spend together, the two devoted themselves entirely to each other until the time came to part.
