As a single guy living alone, I came home drunk again today. Since I had a little extra cash, I headed to a massage parlor I’d been curious about—the kind of seedy, erotic massage place. A woman with the air of a married woman greeted me, and I enjoyed a little time with her. A few days later, I ran into Ms. Sumikawa, a beautiful married woman from my neighborhood whom I often see. Ms. Sumikawa always looks stunning, and I’d often thought, “What if someone like that were my wife?” Today, as we passed each other, we exchanged a nod, but somewhere in the back of my mind, I thought, “Wait, that’s the massage girl.
