Maiko felt suffocated by her husband’s controlling behavior… Though they were unable to have children, the two of them had lived a reasonably happy life together. However, over the past few years, her husband—who had been accumulating stress from a promotion battle at work—had gradually begun to restrict Maiko’s freedom. Because of this, Maiko was forced to quit her job and became a full-time housewife. One day, while venting about her family life to a younger colleague, she was introduced to a certain website. She felt stressed by her husband’s restrictions but didn’t want a divorce… yet… she felt she would suffocate if things continued this way.
