Goba was selected to compete in the prefectural swimming tournament. Since the venue happened to be near her grandfather’s house, she decided to stay there during the competition. Her grandfather, whom she hadn’t seen in a long time, was kind to her; since the day before the tournament was Go-ba’s birthday, he even prepared a cake to treat her. That night, Go-ba collapsed into sleep, overcome by sudden drowsiness. When she woke up, she found herself tied up in the storeroom.
